Latte con Leche at barn door

e are excited to announce that Brooke Riggsbee, of Willowbrook, is now handling all of the visiting horses at Don E Mor! Brooke comes to us with years of experience and most important a heart for horses and people.

If you are interested in boarding at Don E Mor's facilities please contact Brooke Riggsbee for availability, questions, and all other information: (252) 412-3397     s.brooke_riggsbee@yahoo.com

Don E Mor, through Brooke Riggsbee, is offering a wide range of boarding and care packages to our fellow equestrians. This includes simple pasture and dry lot care, to three different options of paddock and stall care with daily turnout. For a fuller list of care details, please click the Visiting Horse Information Packet below. Along with these various packages, the larger facility is at your disposal from a covered lighted arena the size of a small dressage ring, to a 100ft by 200ft open arena filled with Working Equitation obstacles. As well, the farm sits on 135 beautiful acres with miles of tranquil open trails. There are hills for strength building, wide pastures to ride across when the hay is low, and miles of more traditional trails, including access to two creeks crossings.

Outside of this new role as a Visiting Horse facility, Don E Mor is also a facility for Working Equitation in North Carolina. Before Covid, we were fortunate to have Rolf Janzen, a Working Equitation Master, here from Germany. Now we’re are fortunate to have Megan Malan from Tryon, North Carolina here about 8 times a year. She helps us with obstacles in the Ease of Handling phase in the morning and then we each get to ride the course! After lunch, we receive a 30 minute individual riding lesson with her and everyone has been so impressed! We also try to offer other clinics that our riders are interested in, such as mounted archery. So, if you are also looking for a community of riders and programming to connect to as you care for your horse, Don E Mor can serve this purpose well.
